| PURPOSE: |

The ND Department of Labor provides information and enforces laws related to labor standards (including child labor, minimum wage, overtime, breaks, paid time off, deductions from pay, and travel and training time) and discrimination in employment, housing, public services, public accommodations and lending. The department also verifies independent contractor status, licenses permanent-placing employment agencies and issues sub-minimum wage certificates. |
