PURPOSE:
  To provide hands-on management and technical assistance to minority, disadvantaged and women businesses certified by the ND Department of Transportation.

  • Bookkeeping and recordkeeping;
  • Lease, rental and purchase of equipment;
  • Electronic bidding;
  • Bid forms development;
  • Interpreting plans and specifications;
  • Bidding and estimating;
  • Bid quote preparation;
  • Progress charts;
  • Resolving prompt payment/payroll problems;
  • Basic business management;
  • Subcontract agreements;
  • DBE replacement;
  • Certification and recertification;
  • Brochure development;
  • General business development plans.
COST OF SERVICES:
  There is no service fee to firms certified by ND-DOT.
GEOGRAPHICAL AREA SERVED:
  State of North Dakota.
CLIENTELE SERVED:
  Existing DBEs and potential highway-related businesses.
SPONSORING/FUNDING AGENT:
  U.S. Department of Transportation, Federal Highway Administration and the ND Department of Transportation.
