Export-Import Bank is an independent U.S. Government agency which helps to finance exported U.S. goods and services. Ex-Im Bank provides guarantees of working capital loans for U.S. exporters, facilitates loans/loan guarantees for international buyers of U.S. goods and services, and provides credit insurance against nonpayment by foreign buyers for political or commercial risk. By mandate, a reasonable assurance of repayment must exist in all transactions and U.S. small businesses must be supported.
