The RLND Program is a statewide leadership program focusing on preparing and developing effective leaders to strengthen rural communities. This two-year interactive study program emphasizes the development of leadership skills while sharing important and divergent information about important issues facing North Dakota.

RLND participants attend nine three-day in-state seminars and a six-day study tour to Washington DC over the two-year timeframe. Seminars are held throughout the state and topics include communication, ethics, coalition building, project management, critical and creative thinking, conflict management, public policy making, and the difference one person can have.
