Quentin Burdick Center for Cooperatives Print
PURPOSE:
  To conduct, promote and coordinate university education about cooperatives, conduct research for and about cooperatives, to strengthen operating cooperatives, and to assist in expanding economic opportunities through the cooperative form of business.
MAJOR PROGRAMS:
 
  • The research program of the QBCC includes government-funded research about cooperatives, and contract research primarily conducted for individual cooperatives.
  • Outreach programs include speaking engagements, including topics in financial understanding and management, and strategic planning.
  • University educational programs include on-campus and distance delivery of courses in cooperative business structures, guidance of graduate student research, addressing cooperatives and research seminars in issues important to cooperatives.

  • Educational materials and videos on cooperatives.
  • Research materials and other references about cooperatives.
  • Referrals and coordination with other agencies and organizations.
