Correspondence & Online Studies: With Correspondence and Online Studies you can earn academic credit outside the classroom setting. Courses are delivered online and through traditional correspondence. Students can earn a Bachelor of General Studies or a Bachelor of Arts in Social Science degree, or may also apply credits from individual courses towards other degrees. And, since the courses are fully accredited, they transfer well to other institutions. More than 90 undergraduate courses are offered with the same content and rigor as the traditional, on-campus instruction. Students can enroll any time, take up to nine months to complete a course, and work at their own pace, or choose from select courses that are offered during the regular semester schedules. UND Odegard School of Aerospace Sciences
UND Aerospace, which includes the Odegard School of Aerospace Sciences at the University of North Dakota and the UND Aerospace Foundation, is an international leader in collegiate and contract aviation education and training services flying over 110,000 hours per year in over 120 aircraft. Undergraduate and graduate programs leading to a variety of rewarding careers in aerospace are offered through four different academic departments: aviation, atmospheric sciences, computer sciences and space studies. The UND Aerospace training complex is the most technologically advanced environment for aerospace education, training and research in the world.

The Department of Atmospheric Sciences offers a Bachelor of Science, a Master of Science and an undergraduate minor program in Atmospheric Sciences. Aviation
The Department of Aviation offers six different four-year degree options in the two major categories of Business and Aeronautics. The Bachelor of Business Administration degree may be earned in either Aviation Management or Airport Management, and is granted by the College of Business and Public Administration. The Bachelor of Science in Aeronautics may be earned in Commercial Aviation, Flight Education, Air Traffic Control, or Aviation Systems Management. The Odegard School now offers a Master of Science degree in Aviation via interactive distance learning.

The Department of Space Studies offers a program leading to a Master of Science degree. Technology Transfer and Commercialization

The Technology Transfer and Commercialization (TTC) office is responsible for protection and commercialization of University research innovations including aerospace sciences, computer sciences, medicine and health sciences, engineering and physical sciences. TTC, having U.S. Patent and Trademark Office registered personnel, provide services to draft, file and prosecute patent applications for inventions. TTC defines and markets technology portfolios of inventions to promote new business ventures and build business alliances to accelerate transition of inventions to the marketplace. Services include performing analysis of patentability, value and marketability to identify strategic direction as a licensing, joint venture or spin off company opportunity. TTC is also a resource for drafting and negotiating legal agreements, such as confidentiality and licensing agreements, with business partners. In concert with the Center for Innovation, TTC is seeking funding of entrepreneurial business ventures from corporate, public and private investors and is establishing an integrated vertical process to enhance commercial success.

Upper Midwest Aerospace Consortium
The Upper Midwest Aerospace Consortium (UMAC) develops products and services for agriculture, natural resource management and K-12 education using satellite imagery and other spatial technologies. UMAC also provides information and educational outreach services to the general public with respect to regional impacts of environmental and climatic change. It also provides products, services, and information to the general pubic by operating as a Public Access Resource Center (PARC), focused principally on the agriculture, natural resource management and education communities. As a consortium, UMAC is led by the University of North Dakota and includes participants from academia, industry and government located throughout North Dakota, South Dakota, Montana, Wyoming and Idaho .
