UTTC UNIVERSITY CENTER
	PURPOSE: The United Tribes Technical College's University Center serves the economic needs of tribal communities within the Denver Region (Colorado, Montana, Nebraska, North Dakota, South Dakota, Wyoming and Utah.) It is the purpose of the Center to link the existing University Centers with the Tribes within the Region. The goals and objectives of the UTTC University Center are: To provide training to Tribal planners and Tribal councils through consultation and training seminars, to improve local capacity to stimulate and enhance economic development To provide technical assistance to Tribal planners in identifying the project-specific economic needs of Tribal communities. To assess the current state of technology transfer within Tribal communities To serve as an information clearinghouse for Tribal communities SERVICES AVAILABLE: Technical Assistance - The Center will provide training to tribal planners and tribal councils through consultation and training seminars in the areas of business development, community economic development strategies, marketing and tourism development. Applied Research - The Center will partner with existing University Centers to provide Tribal communities with access to engineers and other professionals who provide regional economic services. Disseminating Information - The Center website provides for announcing upcoming workshops, information on effective business practices, spotlight economic development opportunities, and the latest products available to Indian Country.
