Region 4 - Red River Regional Council Print
PURPOSE:
  Coordinate planning and development within the region for all matters of regional concern as determined by the Regional Council. These include: land use, social and economic planning, transportation, health, environmental quality, water and sewage, solid waste, flood relief, parks and open space, and economic and community development.
SERVICES AVAILABLE:
 
  • Assist entities in the preparation of comprehensive plans.
  • Provide technical assistance, grantsmanship and grant administration services to local entities and groups.
  • Act as a liaison between local government and state and federal government.
  • Provide gap financing/finance packaging to Region IV businesses.
COST OF SERVICES:
  Grant and loan preparation and technical assistance at no charge. Grant administration and preparation of comprehensive plans on a per hour charge.
GEOGRAPHICAL AREA SERVED:
  North Dakota has eight regional councils. The Red River Regional Council covers Pembina, Nelson, Walsh and Grand Forks counties.
CLIENTELE SERVED:
  City and county governments, local development corporations and private entities.
SPONSORING/FUNDING AGENT:
  Grand Forks, Pembina, Nelson and Walsh counties, Economic Development Administration, and various state and federal grant programs.
