| PURPOSE: |

Lake Agassiz Regional Development Corporation (LARDC) and Lake Agassiz Regional Council (LARC) serve businesses, individuals and local jurisdictions in Region V, which includes the six county areas of Cass, Ransom, Richland, Sargent, Steele, and Traill. In addition to these six counties, LARDC and LARC also service an expanded areas within North Dakota. LARDC and LARC provide assistance for financing of existing or prospective small business owners, community and economic development planning and implementation for the long term sustainability and growth of the region. |

- Identifies and provides financing sources for projects.
- Provides direct lending loan programs.
- Provides one on one assistance and direction.
- Operates a small business incubator.
- Acts as a "point-of-entry" to access state and federal economic development funds for the region.
- Provides coordinating functions for economic development projects.
- Prepares grant applications.
- Assists in financing improvement of community infrastructure.
- Provides township and community zoning services.
- Provides federal grant administration.
- Manages county jobs development authorities.

North Dakota has eight regional councils. The Lake Agassiz Regional Development Corporation and Lake Agassiz Regional Council cover a six county area of Cass, Ransom, Richland, Sargent, Steele and Traill counties.
