To stimulate, encourage and assist North Dakotans of all ages and walks of life to envision and investigate ideas for supplementing income and creating new enterprises.

Community - A coming together of people committed to work for their common betterment to develop individual skills and to reach their highest goals and fullest potential.
GOALS

To increase understanding of the importance of quality of life factors in economic development, and to exchange information, ideas and success stories with business and community leaders and officials to inspire them and stimulate action to make their area and North Dakota an attractive place to live and work.

To encourage and assist North Dakota's farmers and ranchers to become the trusted providers of the highest quality food in the world, add value to our products, and diversify the uses of our land as the most promising way to raise net farm income, create employment and assure community growth.

To introduce North Dakota businesses, farmers, entrepreneurs and community leaders to a wide array of new and innovative technologies, tools, products, emerging applications, and technical advisors to improve the skills and understanding necessary for making informed judgments and achieving greater benefits.

To provide a network of information, assistance providers, and people that are already engaged in alternate activities in an effort to accelerate acceptance of innovative opportunities and to support those who have begun new enterprises.

To communicate the implications of these alternatives to community development leaders, lenders, educators, policy makers, and others whose support and understanding is helpful and necessary.
