| PURPOSE: |

To provide expanding or emerging businesses with funds for front end start-up costs associated with products or processes that have the potential to become successful economic ventures. |
| GEOGRAPHICAL AREA SERVED: |
| |
North Dakota Planning Region II covering Bottineau, Burke, McHenry, Mountrail, Pierce, Renville and Ward Counties. |
| ELIGIBLE APPLICANTS: |
| |
Any private developer, development group, city or county actively involved in economic development. |
| FUNDING CRITERIA: |
| |
- Use of Funds - Funds can be utilized for feasibility studies, market research, business plan development, product testing, and patent protection. Funds cannot be utilized for general operating expenses.
- Grant Limits - $1,000 maximum.
- Leverage - $1 Private - $1 Public.
